The Carbon Street replacement bridge was designed to span a stormwater drainage channel using precast concrete box culverts. The 16-foot roadway width, replacement bridge consisted of three-3’ x 5’ x 42’ precast, pre-stressed box culverts with a bituminous wearing course, guiderails, reinforced concrete abutments and wingwalls on spread footings. Replacement bridge design was in accordance with PADOT LRFD Box Culvert (BXLRFD) to support HS-25 loading conditions.
